The Golden State Valkyries have dropped three straight as they head to College Park Center to face the Dallas Wings on Sunday. Dallas is in the midst of a four-game skid of its own, but something’s got to give as Paige Bueckers and Co. take the court in front of the home crowd.

My Valkyries vs Wings best bet: Wings moneyline (+114 at DraftKings)
The Dallas Wings are positioned at the bottom of the WNBA standings, and they’ve already been eliminated from playoff contention. The Golden State Valkyries, on the other hand, are clinging to the final playoff spot, and each game is critical for the final stretch of the season.
Despite coming into this game with opposing motivations, I expect the Wings to finish the season with pride and scrap for each and every victory they can.
Over the last 10 games, Dallas has covered the spread against the Atlanta Dream and covered twice against the New York Liberty. The Wings defeated the Indiana Fever by one point and suffered two one-point losses to the Los Angeles Sparks.
Dallas is just 1-9 straight up in that span, but the Wings have covered the spread six times. Golden State and Dallas have faced each other twice this season, and the home team won and covered in both.
Fresh off a blowout home loss to the Seattle Storm on Friday and playing some competitive basketball as of late, I expect Bueckers and the Wings to come out energized and hungry for a victory on Sunday afternoon. Rather than taking the Wings to cover such a small spread, I see the value in betting the ML at plus-money odds.

My Paige Bueckers best bet: Over 19.5 points (+110 at DraftKings)
Paige Bueckers blew up for a historic game against the Sparks on Wednesday, going for a rookie record 44 points while shooting 81% from the field. She followed that up with an 11-point performance on Friday, shooting just 2-of-7 from the field in a blowout loss to the Storm.
Prior to that dud, Bueckers hadn’t scored fewer than 14 points since July 7, so we’ll treat Friday as an outlier rather than a predictor of Sunday’s scoring output.
On the season, Paige Buckets has scored at least 20 points in 15 of 30 games, including six of her last 10. She posted 17 points at Golden State but went for 20 when she faced the V’s at home.
Desperate for a win and ready to put Friday’s blowout in the rear view, I’m confident that Bueckers will come out firing and eclipse this modest scoring line.
