The surging Dallas Wings will look for a sixth-straight win when they host the Los Angeles Sparks this afternoon as 9.5-point favorites.

Dallas has been plenty rested after its July 16 matchup was postponed, giving the team a full six days between games.

My Sparks vs Wings predictions and WNBA picks expect the home side's rest advantage will help them cover this lofty spread on July 19.

Sparks vs Wings prediction

Sparks vs Wings best bet: Wings -9.5 (-115)

Normally a Los Angeles Sparks game points to the Over, but this matchup feels different.

The Sparks have lost three straight on this road trip while their scoring has tailed off. They'll again be without leading scorer Kelsey Plum (leg) for a ninth straight game.

The Dallas Wings, meanwhile, have won three of their last four by double digits and held opponents to 45.3% shooting over their last five games, a Top-5 defensive mark over that stretch.

The Wings' form on both ends suggests another comfortable win, while their six days of rest is a big advantage over an L.A. side wrapping up a four-game road trip.

I'd lay the points with Dallas up to -11.5.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Sparks have lost seven of their last 10, and their 3-point shooting hasn’t been much help, hitting at a rough 30.9% clip (11th).

Sparks vs Wings same-game parlay

Wings forward Jessica Shepard is having her best rebounding season by far, currently second to only Angel Reese with her 11.6 average.

She’s pulled down double-digit boards in six of her last seven, topping this 11.5 rebounding line five times. Shepard grabbed 15 rebounds in Dallas’ win over L.A. in their only meeting prior to this season.

Nneka Ogwumike has picked up the scoring slack in Plum’s absence, scoring in double figures in 10 straight games and scoring at least 18 points each of her last five games.

I expect her to keep up in Dallas.

Sparks vs Wings SGP

  • Wings -9.5
  • Jessica Shepard Over 11.5 rebounds
  • Nneka Ogwumike Over 17.5 points

Sparks vs Wings player prop pick

Paige Bueckers Over 6.5 assists (-115)

Paige Bueckers is coming off an 11-assist performance against Chicago and has cashed the Over 6.5 assist line in three of her last five games — missing the Over by a single dime in each of the other two games.

Bueckers should have fond memories of dealing against L.A., as she racked up a career-best 14 dimes in their matchup on June 5.
