The Dream have failed to cover eight straight games, making the Sparks' spread one of our expert's favorite bets on Monday's WNBA slate.

The Atlanta Dream have struggled over the last three weeks, and they’ll look to right the ship tonight when they host a Los Angeles Sparks team riding a two-game winning streak.

The Dream may be able to secure the win at home, but my Sparks vs. Dream predictions expect Los Angeles to keep the game within striking distance and cover a spread that is far too tall.

Read on for my WNBA picks for Monday, July 13, and don't miss tip-off at 7 p.m. ET on USA.

Sparks vs Dream prediction

Sparks vs Dream best bet: Sparks +8.5 (-110)

The Atlanta Dream have failed to cover the spread in eight straight games, winning just twice during that stretch. Atlanta’s Offensive Rating has fallen to a dreadful 101.7, its Defensive Rating has slipped to 106.2, and the Dream rank 13th in Net Rating at -4.5.

Atlanta is also just 4-6 ATS as a home favorite, while Los Angeles is 3-2 ATS as a road underdog.

Angel Reese’s status remains uncertain as she deals with a leg injury that sidelined her on Saturday. Even if she is available, I would play the Los Angeles Sparks down to +5.5.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Dream are just 3-6 ATS as favorites of 8.5 points or more.

Sparks vs Dream same-game parlay (+390)

Neither offense has been particularly sharp lately, but the defenses have been even worse.

Over their last eight games, the Sparks and Dream have combined to allow 183.4 points per contest. I would play the total up to 182.5.

Nneka Ogwumike has averaged 33 points, rebounds, and assists across her last six games, clearing this line four times. During that span, she leads Los Angeles in scoring and rebounding while ranking third in assists.

With Kelsey Plum and Cameron Brink sidelined, Ogwumike should remain the focal point against a struggling Atlanta defense.

Sparks vs Dream SGP

  • Sparks +8.5
  • Over 180.5
  • Nneka Ogwumike Over 29.5 points + rebounds + assists

Sparks vs Dream player prop pick

Jordin Canada Over 7.5 assists (-150)

Jordin Canada is averaging a career-high 7.3 assists per game this season and has recorded at least eight dimes in nine of 23 appearances. Six of those performances have come across her last nine games, during which she has averaged 8.2 assists.

Canada has cleared this line in five consecutive home appearances and in seven of 11 home games overall. The Sparks have allowed the second-most assists per game at 22.2, making this another favorable matchup.

I would bet Canada’s assists up to 8.5.
