Tuesday’s two-game WNBA slate features a pair of West Coast showdowns with plenty of favorable player props to target. The Indiana Fever take on the Phoenix Mercury at PHX Arena, and the New York Liberty head to “Ballhalla” to face the Golden State Valkyries.
My favorite WNBA picks for Tuesday, September 2 target scoring lines for a pair of elite offensive options and a combo line for a player enjoying a breakout campaign.
WNBA player prop bets for September 2
Stewart o15.5 points (+105)
Burton o19.5 points+assists (-130)
Copper o15.5 points (-118)
Breanna Stewart Over 15.5 points
Breanna Stewart’s scoring line went from 16.5 to 15.5 following a 14-point performance in her last game, and I’m happy to take advantage. Despite the disappointing scoring output, Stewart’s playing time went from 24 minutes to 27.
With more minutes in consecutive games, it’s reasonable to assume that Stewart will push for 30 minutes tonight. She’s scored 23, 27, and 24 across three matchups with the Golden State Valkyries, and with Sabrina Ionescu banged up and questionable to play, Stewie should see some additional scoring opportunities.
The plus-money odds make this prop an excellent value.

Veronica Burton Over 19.5 points + assists
Veronica Burton has been phenomenal in the Valkyries’ inaugural season, and her strong play has contributed to Golden State’s unexpected success. Burton has hit the Over on this line in just 15 of 39 games overall, but she’s been tremendous across her last five.
With Tiffany Hayes out again, all eyes should be on Burton as Golden State’s go-to scorer and playmaker against the New York Liberty. Over the last five games (four without Hayes), Burton has averaged 16.6 points and a league-leading 10.6 assists.
Burton has gone for at least 20 points+assists in four of her last five and seven of 10. Most of our featured sportsbooks offer this line at 21.5, but the best value is at bet365 for a comfortably low 19.5.

Kahleah Copper Over 15.5 points
Kahleah Copper is averaging 16.3 points per game this season, and she’s hit the Over on this line in 10 of 23 contests. Of those 10 games with at least 16 points, half have come across her last seven games.
Over her last seven, Copper has posted 18.3 points per game and comes into tonight's matchup riding a three-game streak in which she’s scored 22, 28, and 18 points. She’ll get the benefit of a friendly matchup with an Indiana Fever team that’s allowed the fifth-most points to opponents at 82.2 per game.
