WNBA player prop bets for September 19
Cloud o4.5 asts (+100)
Sabally o20.5 pts + rebs (-116)
Ionescu o2.5 3s (+110)
Natasha Cloud Over 4.5 assists
Natasha Cloud has dished out at least five assists in three of her last five games, including a strong six-assist showing against Seattle, and five-assist efforts versus Washington and the Phoenix Mercury in Game 1 of this series.
Even though she had a quieter assist night in Game 2, Cloud’s role as a primary facilitator is imperative tonight, especially with the New York Liberty relying on her to initiate the offense and keep the ball moving against this Mercury defense.
Cloud’s ability to attack off the dribble and create plenty of passing opportunities should enable her to clear her assist total tonight.
Satou Sabally Over 20.5 points + rebounds
Mercury forward Satou Sabally has been one of Phoenix’s most versatile contributors, consistently producing on both ends of the floor.
Her athleticism and vast international experience play well against the Liberty. She’s averaging double-figures in scoring during the postseason while also crashing the glass hard, especially when the Mercury need extra possessions.
In her last five outings, Sabally has cleared this combined line three times, showing she can impact the game even if her shooting efficiency dips. Given her high-minute workload and importance to Phoenix’s survival, I’m projecting a big game on Friday night.
Sabrina Ionescu Over 2.5 made threes
Sabrina Ionescu is a big-time 3-point shooter in the throes of a shooting slump with a high upside in Friday’s matchup against Phoenix.
Despite shooting just 4-for-20 from deep in this series, Ionescu’s role as New York’s perimeter threat remains critical, and they won’t beat Phoenix unless she goes off from downtown.
Ionescu is a career 35% 3-point shooter, and while she has only gone over her made 3-point scoring prop in three of her last 10 games, her volume is what consistently puts this plus-money prop in play.
With Breanna Stewart nursing a sore knee, Ionescu must deliver a vintage shooting performance, and I’m betting she makes at least three triples tonight.
