Buckle up for a possible playoff preview tonight at Gateway Center as the No. 2 seed Atlanta Dream try to snap the Las Vegas Aces’ dominant 11-game win streak.

Atlanta is on a nice run of its own, with an 8-2 mark in its last 10 contests, but my Aces vs. Dream predictions expect Las Vegas to use another big A’ja Wilson performance to keep the score close.

Take a closer look at this marquee matchup with my free WNBA picks for Wednesday, August 27.

Aces vs Dream predictions

My Aces vs Dream best bet: Aces +3.5 (-106 at FanDuel)

You’ve got to go back to August 2 for the Las Vegas Aces’ last defeat. Since then, Becky Hammon’s squad has morphed into a playoff contender — more in line with the expectations heading into this season — and A’ja Wilson has propelled the Aces with a string of eye-popping stat lines.

As they look to stretch their winning run to 12 games tonight against the Atlanta Dream, they can take comfort from beating this same opponent last week in Vegas, as well as statement victories over the Phoenix Mercury and New York Liberty this month.

Against that backdrop, I love getting points here, with the visitors pegged as underdogs. It’s not just that the Aces are 2-0 in their season series with the Dream; they’ve also won nine of the last 10 meetings between these teams.

Atlanta boasts a strong 12-5 record at home this year and will lean on the Allisha Gray & Rhyne Howard one-two punch, but Jordin Canada’s absence is a real loss as she continues to rehab from a hamstring injury.

Ultimately, this pick comes back to Wilson. She won’t get anything easy in the paint against Brionna Jones and Brittney Griner, but if A’ja delivers another MVP-caliber outing, the Aces should take this contest right to the wire — and the Dream just don’t have a superstar on that same level.

Aces vs Dream same-game parlay (SGP)

Aces +3.5

Under 162

A’ja Wilson Over 11.5 rebounds

The trends point to the Under as a smart pick to build out my SGP tonight. That’s been a winning ticket in five straight matchups between these teams, and it’s 8-1-1 in Atlanta’s past 10 outings.

I’m also taking the Over on Wilson’s rebounds tally on the heels of 12+ boards in seven of her last nine games. She was a big factor on the glass against Atlanta last week, pulling down 12 rebounds that night.
