Roman Dolidze takes on Anthony Hernandez in this evening's main event for UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas.

This should be an intriguing fight between a pair of Top-10 middleweights, and UFC odds have Hernandez as a -310 favorite with Dolidze coming back at +230.

Fight analysis

Anthony "Fluffy" Hernandez comes in on a seven-fight winning streak after beating Brendan Allen by decision in February. Hernandez lost the first round but outstruck Allen 27-6 with eight minutes of control time in the final two rounds. 

Meanwhile, Roman Dolidze has won three in a row, most recently defeating Marvin Vettori by decision in a five-round main event in March. 

Dolidze is a heavy hitter, but he isn't as fast or technical as Hernandez. While the underdog has elite grappling ability, his wrestling is subpar, and he can be taken down. He also has a tendency to slow down in the later rounds, so expect him to struggle with the hellish pace that Hernandez puts on. 

Hernandez has good recoverability and the toughness needed to survive the early danger from Dolidze. From there, he'll pour on the pressure and use his weaponized cardio to break Dolidze in the later rounds. 

I like Hernandez to win, but this moneyline price is too steep against a dangerous fighter like Dolidze, who has knockout power and high-end BJJ. Look to his method to win props for value.

Best bet analysis

Six of Hernandez's eight wins in the UFC have come inside the distance. That said, Dolidze has never been finished in his career, with all three of his defeats coming by decision. Hernandez doesn't have much power on his feet with almost all of his finishes coming by ground-and-pound or submission.

He should be able to take Dolidze to the mat, but he'll have a tough time submitting him. After all, Dolidze is bigger than Fluffy and was the ADCC Asia & Oceania Champion in grappling at 99 KG in 2016.

Bet on Hernandez to use his cardio and pressure to break Dolidze down over five rounds, but don't expect him to get a finish.
