We're back in Las Vegas tonight as T-Mobile Arena is set to host UFC 320.
Headlining the UFC odds are two highly anticipated title fights, rounding out what should be an entertaining evening.
Below, I break down three fights in my free betting picks for Saturday’s event.
Best UFC 320 parlay picks
Joe Pyfer by KO/TKO or DQ
Kicking off the main card is a middleweight bout between No. 14-ranked Abus Magomedov and the unranked Joe Pyfer. Despite the ranking difference, Pyfer enters as a -250 favorite.
That line reflects his punching power as he hits harder than almost anyone pound-for-pound, and his clearest path to victory is by KO/TKO. Eight of Pyfer’s last 10 wins have come via knockout.
The only fight that went the distance over that stretch was his recent decision over Kelvin Gastelum.
Then again, Gastelum has one of the best chins in UFC history, having never been knocked out across 31 professional bouts. That’s not the case for Magomedov, who has been KO'd by both Sean Strickland and Louis Taylor in two of his past three losses.
Khalil Rountree moneyline
The final non-title fight of the evening features Jiri Prochazka putting his No. 2 ranking on the line against No. 4 contender Khalil Rountree. This line is pretty disrespectful to Rountree, who has lost just once in his past seven bouts.
That lone loss came against Alex Pereira in a title fight. Rountree started strong and showed resilience even as the tide turned.
Pereira, who headlines Saturday’s main event, has finished Prochazka twice in the second round. Meanwhile, Rountree was ahead 2-1 on all three scorecards before getting stopped in Round 4 against “Poatan”, demonstrating a stronger showing against him than Prochazka did..
Merab Dvalishvili moneyline
In the co-main event, the bantamweight title is on the line as Merab Dvalishvili defends his belt against No. 4-ranked Cory Sandhagen. If the first two legs of the parlay hit, this final leg leaves us in great shape, as Dvalishvili is a -425 favorite.
That line may widen, given the MMA math. Dvalishvili beat Umar Nurmagomedov convincingly, landing seven takedowns and outstriking him.
Meanwhile, Nurmagomedov dominated Sandhagen by an even wider margin, earning 49-46 or better on all three scorecards while landing five takedowns and outstriking him.
If Nurmagomedov beat Sandhagen easily and Dvalishvili beat Nurmagomedov, then Dvalishvili should have little trouble with Sandhagen.
At this pace, Dvalishvili is on track to become one of the greatest bantamweights of all time, and Saturday should be another step on that journey.
