Cody Fajardo boasts a 111.9 QB rating in 10 appearances for Edmonton, including a 7/3 TD-INT ratio. As a result, the Elks have turned a 1-6 start into three consecutive wins with Fajardo at the helm. Defensively, Edmonton was a sieve early in the season, but the unit has tightened up, allowing 22 points or fewer in each of its last three contests. Having won each of their last four meetings with the Calgary Stampeders, +7.5 is too lofty a spread ahead of Monday's Battle of Alberta. 

There are too many points to spot an Elks squad that has won three games in a row. Edmonton's offense has been far more efficient since Cody Fajardo took over at QB, and the defense has stepped up as well. Through the Elks' first five games this year, they surrendered 34.0 ppg and 7.65 yards per play, but in their last five games, those numbers have slimmed to 22.2 ppg and 6.3 ypp. The Stamps are coming off a massive win against the Riders, but this could be a letdown spot. The Elks have won the last four meetings between these rivals and have gone 4-1 ATS in their previous five trips to McMahon Stadium.
