Most encouragingly, Gray has raised her game on the road, reaching the 20-point mark in three of the Dream’s four contests away from Gateway Center.
For all the issues I’ve identified for the Fever defensively, there’s no doubt this team can score. They play fast – they have the highest pace metrics of any team in the WNBA – and are fourth in the league in true shooting percentage at 57.3%. Indiana has hit the Over in three straight games and play to an average total of 180.8.
With that many points on the board, adding a scoring prop makes a lot of sense. My pick is Howard, who is coming off a massive 36-point performance against the Connecticut Sun. Howard is virtually always on the court – averaging 35.9 minutes per game – and will get heavy usage in a game that has lots of possessions. She has a great chance to get Over 17.5 points tonight.
