Minnesota @ Chicago picks

Napheesa Collier is averaging a career-best 23.5 points per game this season, but she’s been in a slump over her last three games. In that span, Collier has averaged just 18.7 points while shooting 0-of-14 from beyond the arc. Collier has failed to score 22 points in three straight games after doing so in 12 of her first 15. She scored just 21 against the Chicago Sky when she faced them last week, but a bounce-back performance is in order. 

Angel Reese recorded 13 or more rebounds in nine of 19 games overall this season, including 17 against the Minnesota Lynx on July 6. Reese’s success against Minnesota wasn’t a one-off. She pulled down 19 and 16 rebounds in two matchups with the Lynx last season. Minnesota is tied with Chicago for fourth-most rebounds allowed over the last seven games at 35.1. That includes 8.7 offensive rebounds per game. Reese is averaging 4.1 offensive boards this season, and she’s averaged 6.3 per game across her last three matchups with Minnesota. I expect her to stay strong on the glass against the Lynx at home today.
