The Philadelphia 76ers are not the best road team in the league and have several things going against them as they embark on a four-game trip. The 76ers expect to be without All-Stars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons when they visit the Western Conference-power Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.

Philadelphia, which also faces the top team in the West - the Los Angeles Lakers - on the trip, is 9-21 on the road and dropped its last seven games away from home but heads out with some momentum after getting strong performances from Shake Milton and Al Horford in place of Simmons and Embiid in Thursday's 115-106 home triumph over New York. "What a fantastic story of late," 76ers coach Brett Brown told reporters of Milton, who totaled 39 points on 14-of-21 shooting over the last two games. "It's getting to the stage where the unique performances, performances that catch your eye have become more and more frequent. To knock out a back-to-back is even more impressive. He's just becoming consistently reliable on a bunch of things." Milton and company face a tall task in the Clippers, who are winners of three straight and blasted the Denver Nuggets 132-103 at home on Friday to move into a tie for second place in the West. "I mean sky's the limit," Los Angeles star Kawhi Leonard told reporters of his team. "We have very talented players, we got some youth, veterans and when it's all put together, I feel like we can be one of the top teams."

TIME: 3:30 p.m. ET. TV: ABC, TSN3

ABOUT THE 76ERS (37-23): Philadelphia was looking for forward Tobias Harris to step up with Simmons and Embiid down and he responded with 34 points on 14-of-21 shooting, seven rebounds and seven assists in Thursday's win. "With those two out we had to find our identity of how we're going to play," Harris told reporters after posting his highest scoring total since Jan. 15. Horford added 15 points, nine assists and seven rebounds in Thursday's triumph while knocking down 4-of-4 from beyond the arc to stretch the defense.

ABOUT THE CLIPPERS (40-19): Los Angeles expects to lean on stars Leonard and Paul George come playoff time but built a deep roster around the pair and had four reserves score in double figures in Friday's triumph. "We probably have the best second unit in the league," Clippers forward Marcus Morris, who was acquired at the trade deadline, told ESPN. "I look around the league and don't see no second unit that is even close to ours." Another recent addition, point guard Reggie Jackson, collected 10 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in 19 minutes off the bench on Friday - his second straight game scoring in double figures in fewer than 20 minutes.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. George scored 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting after averaging 8.3 points on 26.1 percent shooting over his previous four contests.

2. Embiid (shoulder) had an MRI reveal no structural damage and will be out at least a week.

3. Philadelphia took the last five in the series, including a 110-103 home victory on Feb. 11.
