Last Meeting ( Dec 28, 2019 ) Phoenix 112, Sacramento 110

Devin Booker attempts to stretch his franchise-record streak of consecutive 30-point games to seven when the Phoenix Suns host the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday. Booker's 40-point effort Sunday was his sixth straight of 30 or more to move past the previous mark shared by Charlie Scott (twice) and Charles Barkley.

Booker is averaging 34.8 points during the stretch but wasn't happy after Sunday's 121-114 home setback to the Memphis Grizzlies. "(Sunday) was a step back," Booker said afterward. "We are going to have to respond, finish out this homestand the right way and hopefully get a few wins before we head out back east." The Suns are 2-1 against the Kings this season, including a 124-95 home win in the season opener on Oct. 23 and Sacramento point guard De'Aaron Fox is well aware of where things stand. "We've already seen them three times," Fox said in a postgame television interview following Monday's 111-98 home victory over the Golden State Warriors. "This is the last meeting of the year for us with them. So we're going to come out and try to even the season series."

TIME: 9 p.m. ET. TV: NBCS California, FS Arizona

ABOUT THE KINGS (14-23): Shooting guard Buddy Hield and Fox each scored 21 points against Golden State with the latter also recording seven assists in a contest in which Sacramento led by as many as 31 points before cruising to the finish. "We tried to take care of the ball a lot better and get back in transition - we did a lot better job than we did Saturday," Fox said in reference to a 117-115 home loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. "It is always great to make progress but we have another one (Tuesday)." Forward Richaun Holmes (shoulder) departed in the third quarter Monday and coach Luke Walton said afterward that Holmes would travel to Phoenix but he doesn't yet know if the big man will be available to play.

ABOUT THE SUNS (14-22): Dario Saric is the odd man out with Deandre Ayton (ankle) healthy and Aron Baynes moving from center to power forward as he played six minutes against the Grizzles and only four two nights earlier versus the New York Knicks. Saric, who averages 10.2 points and 6.6 rebounds, has made 4-of-17 shots over the past five contests while averaging 1.6 points and 1.4 rebounds. "I've got to figure out a way to get him in the game because he's a good player," Phoenix coach Monty Williams told reporters. "He hasn't played as well as he's capable of but we're certainly not giving up on Dario."

BUZZER BEATERS

1. The Suns have won four of their past five home games against the Kings.

2. Sacramento reserve SG Bogdan Bogdanovic (ankle) could sit out for the third straight game.

3. Phoenix SF Kelly Oubre Jr. is averaging 24.2 points over the past five games.

PREDICTION: Suns 125, Kings 119
