Let’s double-dip on the rookie. I know I’m projecting a low pitch total for the electric right-hander, but he is projecting for 1.97 walks on 69 pitches today, per THE BAT. I’ve always loved his walk props and after a rough start in his return to the mound, I’m happy to bet on a lack of command again today. This was a prospect who had 81 walks across 142 innings at Triple-A. The Cubs are also one of the most difficult BB% matchups in baseball and a first start on a new mound at Wrigley is also working against the rookie. I’d be thrilled with another start like his last where he had three walks and three Ks over 54 pitches.

There is a little juice here, but Jacob Misiorowski might not even throw 65 pitches today vs. a team that has the fifth-lowest K% over the last two weeks.
The rookie is on a tight leash and only threw 54 pitches and four outs in his last start which was his first after missing two weeks with a lower-body injury. The Brewers don’t need to push him, and his command might be acting up after throwing just 28 pitches for strikes. Command was an issue in the minors and he has avoided issues until now. THE BAT is projecting 69 pitches and 4.63 strikeouts. If the juice is too much, wait for the flip to 4.5 and get +110 or better.

The weather forecast is calling for the Windy City to live up to its name Wednesday, Cubs starter Colin Rea has been sneaky good down the stretch and allowed two runs or fewer in seven of his past nine starts for a 3.35 ERA and 1.12 WHIP. I'm also expecting a bounce-back start from Brewers rookie Jacob Misiorowski. He's has nearly a month to recover from the tibia contusion he sustained July 28.

Let's buy low here with the Cubs after watching them take both games of the Tuesday doubleheader. Jacob Misiorowski looked miserable in his last start, lasting just 1.1 innings, giving up five runs, and walking three. The Cubs' lineup is deep enough to make him suffer in this spot, so we'll ride the team with all the momentum.

The leading projection system (THE BAT X) expects Jacob Misiorowski to have a pitch count in this matchup, projecting a maximum of 69 pitches.. Dan Bellino projects as a Hitters Umpire and is scheduled to be behind the plate in today's game.. Built 599 feet above sea level, Wrigley Field has the 10th-highest elevation in the majors, which often leads to better offense.. Jacob Misiorowski will be at a disadvantage playing as a visiting player today.. Jacob Misiorowski's high usage rate of his fastball (55.3% this year) is likely weakening his results, consider they are generally much less effective than breaking or off-speed pitches.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
