Both teams had an off day on Monday, but it's the Red Sox who I believe are in a better spot to extend their two-game winning streak. The Sox Bats came alive in the final two games vs. the Guardians, plating 20 runs. Now they get to face off against Bowden Francis and a Toronto bullpen that was taxed in a Sunday doubleheader. Francis has been poor in two of his last three starts, and with the Jays' offense mired in a funk, he'll be in tough to limit the Red Sox bats and pick up the win.

The Boston Red Sox pulled off a blockbuster trade for Garrett Crochet in the offseason, and he’s been all they could’ve asked for and more. The hard-throwing lefty is the clear ace of this Boston staff, going 2-2 in six starts with a 1.95 ERA. He’s walked 15 while striking out 44 batters in 37 innings of work. While he only had five strikeouts in a start against the Toronto Blue Jays earlier this season, Crochet owns a 0.66 ERA lifetime versus Toronto with 12 Ks in 13.2 innings. He’s also pitching better on the road with a 1.33 ERA, including 23 strikeouts in 20.1 frames. The left-hander will miss some Toronto bats tonight.
