Back-to-back wins suggest Wrexham are finding their footing at last, and they’ll chase an elusive first home Championship victory of the season on Saturday when they host Derby County.

A Nathan Broadhead double clinched the Red Dragons’ midweek cup tie against Reading — continuing the club’s free-scoring start to the campaign — and my Wrexham vs Derby predictions signal goals on the menu again this weekend at the Stok Cae Ras.

My Wrexham vs Derby County best bet: Both teams to score (+100 at Sports Interaction)

Wrexham have delivered box-office drama from the first weekend of this Championship season — a stunning late collapse at Southampton — and there’s no reason to expect a plot twist on Saturday.

On paper, their firepower should be enough to blow away Derby, but the Red Dragons have shown a knack for making life harder than it needs to be.

The numbers paint a clear story, with the helter-skelter action leading to 23 goals (for and against) across Wrexham’s first six league games.

They finally registered their first clean sheet of the season in midweek, but it required a Carabao Cup matchup with a Reading team that’s off to a slow start in League One.

Meanwhile, Derby have had some rough defensive moments of their own, and that brings the BTTS prop into play this weekend. These two teams have combined to concede 24 goals in these early rounds of Championship action, and both keepers should be busy here.

The Rams have found the net in five of their six league games this year, including their three road outings, and striker Carlton Morris has already netted four league goals.

With attack looking like the best form of defense for both managers, buckle up for a potential thriller at SToK Cae Ras.

Both teams to score

Wrexham moneyline

Josh Windass 1+ shot on target

Seven points from six league games illustrate the extent of Wrexham’s uneven start, but Phil Parkinson found some answers in last weekend’s 3-2 win at Norwich.

Derby find themselves in the relegation zone heading into this fixture, so I’m buying into Wrexham’s uptick in form and picking the Red Dragons to take all three points on Saturday.

Josh Windass sparked Wrexham’s second-half turnaround last Saturday, and his partnership with Kieffer Moore holds the key to the hosts climbing the Championship table.

Windass has hit the target with three of his six shots in the league this year — all goals — and I’m bumping up the SGP odds with a wager on him working Derby keeper Jacob Widell Zetterström here.
