The Premier League slate this Saturday is headlined by an interesting clash between Leeds and Liverpool. Both teams are in serious need to points and undergoing bleak spells.

Elland Road will be rocking, but can the home side get something from a Liverpool team who are in freefall? Sadly for the home supporters, our Leeds vs. Liverpool predictions expect Liverpool to get back to winning ways.

Read on for my free betting picks for Saturday, December 6, with kickoff at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

Premier League predictions for Leeds vs Liverpool

My Leeds vs Liverpool best bet: Liverpool moneyline (-130 at Sports Interaction)

There’s no other way of saying it, but Liverpool have been woeful this season. They started the campaign well, beginning the season in a similar manner to how they performed when they won the Premier League title, but then it fell apart, and they’ve had just four wins in their past 14 games in all competitions. Leeds gives them a great chance to get things right.

Leeds have lost six of their past eight in the Premier League and look like a team destined for relegation. The concern for Leeds is that they keep finding ways to lose. If you look at xG (expected goals) and xGA (expected goals against), they should have scored three more goals and conceded seven fewer. The issue is that Liverpool are in a similar boat, underperforming against their xG and xGA. We’re seeing shoots of recovery for Arne Slot’s team, and they face a team in Leeds that looks totally devoid of confidence when they play.

The shock victory over Chelsea midweek was impressive, but the Londoners were overstretched by injuries and suspension. Liverpool are in a better position and will be pleased with recent performances.

Liverpool moneyline

Alexander Isak to score

Leeds Over 0.5 second-half goals

Isak has only scored twice since his big-money move from Newcastle, but after scoring last weekend against West Ham, he’s gained some confidence, and against one of the league’s worst defenses, he should have a great chance.

For the final leg, we’re backing Leeds to score in the second half of the game. Liverpool have let the opposition score in four of their past five games in all competitions. Every single one of those four games has seen them concede in the second half, with a total of seven goals in the second halves.
