Germany survived an epic battle with France in the quarterfinals and look to trouble in-form Spain to reach the last act at Euro 2025.
However, I believe Spain will punch their ticket to the final. Read why in my Germany vs. Spain predictions and free betting picks for Wednesday, July 23.
Germany vs Spain picks and predictions
My Germany vs Spain best bet: Spain to win (-213 at Betano)
Spain are on a heater at the moment, winners of nine straight. They scored 14 goals in the group stage before taking down Switzerland 2-0 in the quarterfinal. The Spaniards are the favourites at the Euros, alongside England, and I don't see them being bothered by a solid German side.
Even though the Germans' run included the elimination of France in the previous phase — another contender for prominence — they're still behind Spain.
The Spaniards can win against this German side even if it's not their best day, considering the quality they have up front and the many sources of danger on display. The Germans showed weakness on defense in a 4-1 loss to Sweden on Matchday 3, and Spain's attack will likely take advantage of this.
Germany vs Spain same-game parlay (SGP)
Spain to win
First half Over 0.5 goals
Esther Gonzalez anytime goalscorer
Alexia Putellas anytime goalscorer
Apart from the game against Switzerland when they netted their two goals in the second half, the Spaniards have made it clear they're on a scoring mission very early in their previous matches.
Against Italy, Athenea del Castillo scored after 14 minutes. In front of Belgium, the score line after 45 minutes was 2-1 in Spain's favour, while against Portugal it was already 4-0. I see them scoring quickly against Germany in Zurich.
To round up a nice +750 return, I'll have Esther Gonzalez and Alexia Putellas scoring. Esther got her name on the scoresheet on four occasions at Euro 2025, while twice Ballon d'Or winner Putellas is doing well herself.
She's scored three and assisted another four, so she's very well placed to shine again.
