West Ham's chaotic start to the campaign left manager Graham Potter unemployed just two days before the Hammers travel to face Everton.

The mood inside the Hammers group is bad, but Everton are not on a high themselves. That's why I'll be looking for an individual performer rather than a team in my Everton vs. West Ham predictions and betting picks for September 29.

My Everton vs West Ham best bet: Jack Grealish 2+ shots on target (+240 at Sports Interaction)

In the five games he played this season, Jack Grealish recorded seven shots. He's been Everton's attacking engine, assisting four of the six goals his team has scored so far.

But Grealish hasn't hit the net himself, and it's high time for him to do it. I won't have him as anytime goalscorer, but I'll go for shots on target instead, counting on his hunger to break the deadlock.

West Ham's former manager Graham Potter, who was just sacked this week, prepared his players for confronting Grealish — the player he desperately wanted to sign on loan from Man City in the summer.

Grealish finally opted to join Everton and impressed in the first month of the domestic campaign. He's motivated to reach his best level again and return to prominence after a dismal season under Guardiola at City.

He touched the ball in the opposition's box 36 times in his five league games, so his presence was surely felt by all the teams Everton played against.

Everton vs West Ham same-game parlay (SGP)

Jack Grealish 2+ shots on target

First half most corners - Everton

Most cards - West Ham

Everton will want to dominate possession and pressure the West Ham box as much as possible. I believe they'll have plenty of corners after the initial 45 minutes.

The tension inside the West Ham squad is visible in their game as well. They're desperate for points, so they'll put everything they have on the pitch.

West Ham were shown a total of four yellow cards and one red card in the five games they've played. Their level of intensity in duels needs to upgrade if they want to change their fortunes. More contacts of higher intensity often translate into more bookings.
