We have a tasty game in the Premier League this Monday with Brighton and Liverpool facing each other on the south coast.
Realistically, this game is a dead rubber, but that doesn’t matter for our bets, and our Brighton vs Liverpool predictions think that the relaxed nature of the game should lead to four or more goals..

Premier League predictions for Brighton vs Liverpool
My Brighton vs Liverpool best bet: Over 3.5 goals (+123 at BetRivers)
This Monday, we have a single, solitary Premier League game, but the clash at the AmEx could be one of the most exciting games of the entire gameweek for the neutral. Liverpool has long wrapped up the Premier League title and has taken its foot off the gas pedal in the past couple of games, with just one point from the past six available.
Likewise, Brighton is firmly entrenched in a mid-table finish, with nothing really to play for, and they haven’t had anything to play for for the past couple of weeks. With both sets of players’ minds elsewhere, notably on their summer vacations, we could be in for a wide-open game, with two teams just enjoying themselves and scoring plenty of goals.
A look at their recent performances shows us why goals are very likely on Monday.
Firstly, a look across the whole season shows us that just four Premier League clubs have seen Over 3.5 goals in over 40% of their games. Brighton and Liverpool are among those, along with Spurs, who have been relegated and often thrashed, as well as Southampton.
Throughout the whole campaign, we’ve seen Liverpool swatting teams to one side, while Brighton has been involved in countless goal-heavy thrillers.
There’s a chance that we see Arne Slot shuffle his pack for Liverpool, but with Mohamed Salah chasing records, he should start, and we’ll likely see Conor Bradley start at rightback with Trent Alexander-Arnold jeered by his fans last time out.
Liverpool have been the highest scoring team in the Premier League by a margin of 83 goals so far, and what’s been so impressive is that they’ve been just as lethal away from home.
We’ve seen Over 3.5 goals land in 44.4% of Liverpool’s league games, but that rises to an incredible 50% of their games away from Anfield. If we look at Liverpool’s recent results, they’ve had four or more goals in each of their past three games, conceding six but scoring eight in those matchups.
We’ve seen plenty of goals in Brighton games too, with 41.7% of their games hitting the 3.5 mark this season, including two of their past three at the AmEx. A look at the recent history of this fixture also reveals that we’ve seen a high number of goals. The teams have met twice this season, once in the league and once in the EFL Cup, with Liverpool winning 2-1 and 3-2 respectively.
We’ve seen three goals in the past six meetings in all competitions, with Over 3.5 goals landing in two of the past four meetings.
Brighton vs Liverpool same-game parlay (SGP)
As well as our best bet, we’re backing both teams to score. We’ve seen it land in 72.2% of Brighton’s home games this season, including five of their past six at the AmEx. We’ve also seen Liverpool get looser as they’ve wrapped up the EPL season, with both teams scoring in five of their past six in the league.
To finish our SGP, we’re backing Mohamed Salah to score in Brighton vs Liverpool.
He’s been on a poor run of form recently, with just a single goal in his past seven games. However, across the season as a whole, he’s been excellent and a goal on Monday would break the Premier League record for most away goals in a season, with the Egyptian currently on 16 and tied with Harry Kane and Kevin Phillips.
In what will be his 300th Premier League game, it could be a special time to score that historic goal.
