     CFB Record 91-84 (52%)
             -1.787 units (-$1,787)

             Last Week: 7-5, +4.775 units,  +$4,775

Been a long grind, but after a horrendous start in CFB, the deficit has been cut to 1.787 units. Looking forward to an outstanding December. Championship week brings a lot of great games, but I look to a game that nobody will focus on for my biggest play of the season:

GH'S GAME OF THE YEAR (1/4 unit larger than my Missouri play last week):

    LA TECH +8.5 (3 UNITS)

No guarantees....no "L" words....not asking anyone to tail...just stating it is my largest play of the CFB season so far!

    Good Luck!

GH, does daniel porters injury bother you? Nevada has zero impressive wins, seems like they play to the level of their competition. laying more than a td does seem like too much.  La tech has revenge for last year's beatdown, but do you think their defense is good enough to hold nevada at home?

    Thanks and good luck

    LA TECH +8.5

Having watched both of these teams several times recently, I see two teams moving in different directions. Nevada's Super Bowl was two weeks ago in their home game against Hawaii coming off a bye week. They shot their load with some suspect coaching late in the game and lost 28-26. Last week, Nevada had a chance to wrap up bowl eligibility and tookk a 24-10 halftime lead at San Jose, but didn't answer the bell in the second half and lost 27-24. Nevada looked flat out lethargic in the second half like a team that didn't care or have interest.

Not much was expected of La Tech this season under a new head coach, but looking back at Week 2, their 45-44 OT loss to Hawaii is even more impressive now. At 5-6. La Tech had impossible games against LSU and California on the road and now have won 4 out of their last 6 (the two losses being LSU and Boise State). QB Champion has thrown for 200+ yards in 5 out of his last 6 and Tech has a solid 1-2 punch in the backfield with Jackson (884 yards, 8 TD's and 4.9 ypc.) and Porter (592 yards, 6 TD's and 6 ypc.). Nevada has allowed 407, 379 and 346 passing yards their past 3 games.

LT is playing with confidence and is fresh off a bye with the excitement of a team that has come to life and has a realsitic shot at the New Mexico Bowl (as long as Hawaii qualifies for a BCS bowl game). Nevada has the same aspirations but considering their expectations were much higher two weeks ago, they seem to be downtrodden and playing with no motivation.

Nevada has played well offensively and QB Kaepernick has filled in admirably for the injured Graziano and gives them a double threat, however LT has a solid special teams advantage and has a very opportunistic secondary with both CB's having 4 INT's and both safeties with 3.

LT is the hungrier team here and is playing with enthusiasm and looks to avenge a 42-0 embarrassment to the Wolf Pack last season.

Arizona is 1-4 on the road, playing at ASU 6-1 at home, with an understandable loss to USC.... I know the power of instate rivalries; but I don't see wildcats covering here at all.....

I like your argument on LaTECH, and NEV has dissappointed me for the last time this season...... I am going to reconsider that game on the LT side. Thanks.....

I am sure that a few dogs will cover this week, but I think playing too many dogs can be hazardous to your betting account. IMHO

Had Nevada in that game last week and they just stuck it up in the second half. There was no passion on their side of the field and they just looked like they didnt want to be there. They were not the same team that played Hawaii and Boise St. to triple OT as like 25+ pt dogs. They looked amazing in that game and kept fighting back until the end and think that lose took a lot out of them. They have some good athletes on offense but like you said think that La Tech is playing with a more pride and flat out they just want to win more than Nevada does.

In the last 15 matchups of Arizona-Arizona State, the visitor and underdog is 12-3 ATS in the series. Arizona is well rested with 16 days off, is bowl eligible with a win and is playing an overrated and exposed ASU team who's QB has had the crap kicked out of him. Carpenter has been sacked 49 times and been knocked down a whole lot more. It took the Wildcats some time to adjust to Sonny Dykes spread offense he brought over from Texas Tech but QB Tuitama has 26 TD's and the Cats have generated 116 points their past 3 games. The Cats have covered 4 of their last 5 while the Sundevils have covered just 2 of their last 6.

Thanks LSU....glad to see someone saw what I saw....Nevada looks like they have lost all motivation and after last week's second half meltdown, I don't know how they get up for a well rested and enthusiastic team like La Tech...the bowl game would be a major coup for La Tech and a major disappointment for Nevada to end up there....

like la tech, and also like the sun devils. cant bet arizona just because they beat a dennis dixon-less oregon team that was on the way to destroying them.

GH'S CFB TOTAL OF THE YEAR:

UNDER OREGON/OSU 46 (2.5 UNITS) - Injuries galore on both sides...the Ducks are going now without Leaf and Dixon at QB and 3rd string Nate Costa is out also....they must use redshirt freshman Kempf and 5th string Justin Roper (they combined to go 7 for 28 last week for 60 yards and 3 INT's at UCLA) and cannot score...OSU leads the nation against the run allowing just 64 yards per game....Canfield is out for OSU and will be replaced Lyle Moevao at QB (he's decent) and both teams lost top wideouts last month in Colvin for OU and Stroughter for OSU and OU is thin at WR. Mix in a little snow and cold and I say big under in the Civil War.
