NFL draft is favorite part of the off season and with things really slow maybe this will bring some life to the nfl forum.
1. Tank Caradine - FSU
If fully healthy this is the top de in the draft. He has
size 6’4 275, speed 4.6 40, and strength 28 reps. A high end athlete with an
explosive first step who can pancake a qb. Werner gets most of the publicity but
Tank’s sacks came against much better competition. 11 sacks, 13 tackles for
loss, and 80 tackles despite missing 3 games due to injury and not starting 4
out of the 12 he played in. If Tank hadn’t got hurt we wouldn’t even talking
Werner.
2. Barkevious Mingo - LSU
This is an elite athlete. Easily the most explosive first step in the draft. The guys runs a legitimate 4.5. He runs down plays on the other end that he no business getting to. If you go and watch LSU games its amazing to see him led the defense down the field in punt coverage. His average sack time is a ridiculas 3.63 seconds. And despite his lean frame he has the ability to get that initial pop on a tackle. I want him with his hand in the dirt, not standing up, as a situational passrusher. His ability to beat his man the outside will open things up for your interior pass rush.
3. Alex Okafor - UT
Nothing elite about him, the guy just knows how to play football. I have some concerns about him always playing upfield and not covering against the run. I'm still sold on this guy being a very solid nfl player.
4. Dion Jordon - ORE
5. Bjoern Werner - FSU
