I believe that a good strategy is to play a single team of any league, and try to guess when it will win, when it will lose and above all have a lot of luck...

I really like San Diego St tonight in NCAAB. They have defeated Utah St 10 times in a row straight up including as recently as Feb. 9th. San Diego St is 8-2 ATS as well in their last 10 games. I'm taking them on my streak and with my sportsbook. Who's riding with me!

Struggling to keep up with my updates and research... much easier without responsibility. this is the time of year where teams will start to get desperate and do things a little crazy.
mentioned before i like looking for overs, but the basic scenario i'd ideally find is a game that i'm expecting to be a 4-8 point outcome. the main factors i look for are my perceived tempo (possessions per game), 3-point attempts and at least some level of respectability in knocking them down, and at least free-throw shooting on the team I expect to be in front.
additional factors are tempo numbers on the team i expect to be in front (I want them to keep pace up when they get a 6-point lead), individual guard play where someone can go off for big games (hot hand tends to shoot a little quicker), and peripheral numbers that i can use to logically explain why a line is lower than i would expect (i.e. they just played a run of teams that prefer low-scoring games and recent biases are skewed to fewer points).
if i get the time, i'll be posting the thoughts. if not, good luck all

Va Tech/Miami over 137.5 today.
Both of their previous games have gone well over that number. they combine to make on average about 18 3's a game (I'm looking for ~15/game minimum on average combined), Va Tech is pretty heavily favored, and most money is on Va Tech covering the ~-8, so it's a little beyond the range i would normally like, but if the game ends near that number i can see Miami forcing the issue and/or fouling earlier. Va Tech is pretty good from the line as well in those circumstances.

I've got one hella of a streak going....Unfortunately it's in the other direction. I have a L5 after the Kansas loss today. But I'm winning money with the books. Go figure.

If anybody wants to get in a great NCAA pool contact me or PM me. My friends in Minnesota put this on every year. Serious money is in the pot. Deadline is tomorrow so let me know if you're interested.

It's been awhile but I'm finally putting together a modest streak. I'm taking Portland tonight -6.5 on the streak. Portland has owned Brooklyn here in Portland and I'm expecting that trend to continue tonight.

My advice is to just keep playing. Ez to get discouraged when you're not doing well. Playoffs, regardless of sport are always easier to handicap. Good luck to all-

Now that I have a substantial streak I will not play baseball or any first games of the playoffs. Both of those entities are far more unpredictable.

If it's baseball it means the game was postponed most like due to weather.

Welcome to the NBA Finals- After doing some research I'm taking the Over in this game. Despite the Raptors Defensive prowess these teams have gone over the Total in 7 of their last 12 games. I expect Curry and Thompson to be on point for what should be an easy Over. Good Luck to everybody.

I finally got a streak above 2 going. It's been awhile for Smoothd to get some traction. So with all that being said I say take the Under in the Stanley Cup tonight. Despite the fact Boston blew out St.Louis in Game 3 I'm expecting a much closer game and in traditional Stanley Cup action, I'm expecting a low scoring game. Both have excellent Goallies. St. Louis Goaltender Binnington is a Rookie and will surely look to make up for the disaster that was Game 3 when he gave up 7 goals. Also the last 7 times that the Total was set at 5.5 the Under has come in 6 times. So the Under should be a good play for tonight. Good Luck and I see you at the Cashier's window.
