As most of the PGA's top pros take the week off, the John Deere Classic odds give some of the tour's B-listers a more honest crack at picking up a win.

With The Open running next weekend, many of golf's biggest names have opted for rest over a final tune-up, but there's definitely still plenty of top-tier talent left vying for this title.

Here are the updated in-play betting odds to win the John Deere Classic, which runs from July 8-11 at TPC Deere Run.

John Deere Classic favorites

Topping the John Deere Classic odds is Daniel Berger (+1,000), the top-ranked OWGR golfer in the field by a fairly wide margin. Berger has posted Top-10 results in half of his 12 PGA tournaments this calendar year, including a win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Brian Harman sits a relatively distant second on the odds board at +1,500. Harman is coming off a fifth-place finish at the Travelers Championship, while delivering consistent runs with only two missed cuts in 21 events this season. Harman does have history at the John Deere, having won the event in 2014.

Tied for third at +1,700 is Russell Henley, looking to bounce back from a somewhat down stretch that has seen him miss two cuts in his last six events, with two other finishes of 71st and 72nd. He did, however, post a 13th-place finish at last month's U.S. Open, and remains the runner-up of the last John Deere Classic in 2019.

Knotted with Henley at +1.700 is Sungjae Im, still looking to recapture the magic of his 2020 Masters runner-up run. Im is coming off an 8th-place finish at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, but has also missed cuts in four of his past 10 events.

Rounding out the Top 5 is Kevin Streelman, seeking his first PGA Tour victory since 2014. Streelman could use the shallower field to bolster his results, as he has just two Top-10 finishes against seven missed cuts this season.

What is the John Deere Classic payout in 2021?

How to bet on PGA Tour odds

The most popular way to bet on golf is by simply picking the winner, which is also referred to as outright. There are plenty of other ways to wager, however. Some of the more popular markets include head-to-head betting, where sportsbooks pair up two golfers and you simply choose who you think will have the lower score over the course of the weekend or for one round only.

There are also 3-way betting markets (choose the best golfer among three choices) and group betting (choose the best golfer amongst a group of players).

Other ways to wager include Top-5/Top-10/Top-20 finish, top golfer by nationality, to make the cut/to not make the cut, and the leader after each round. Then, of course, there's the popular prop bet of whether or not there will be a hole-in-one at the tournament.
