Finland will look to build on its statement win over Sweden when it faces Italy on Saturday.

The Finns came out firing against the Swedes, and I’m expecting a similar start in my Finland vs. Italy predictions.

Finland vs Italy prediction

Finland vs Italy Best bet: Finland -1.5 1P (+130 at BET99)

Finland was stunned in its tournament opener, falling 4-1 to Slovakia, but it responded with a statement 4-1 win over rival Sweden on Friday. The Finns set the tone early in that matchup, scoring twice in the first period.

Italy goaltender Damian Clara made 46 saves against Sweden, but he was still beaten multiple times. Clara is expected to start again on Saturday, but Finland’s star power will prove too much for him and Italy’s blueline.

Look for the Finns to grab an early lead and eventually pull away.
