There are five games on the ice Wednesday, December 17, and my top NHL player props have you covered for the action.

I’m eyeing Florida Panthers backup Daniil Tarasov in the early window, with Winnipeg Jets No. 1 defenseman Josh Morrissey rounding out the card in favorable matchup against the St. Louis Blues.

Our best NHL player props for Wednesday, December 17

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Prop #1: Daniil Tarasov Over 22.5 saves

-115 at BET99

Florida Panthers No. 2 Daniil Tarasov has recorded 23 or more saves in three or his past four starts and sports a rock-solid .919 save percentage and 2.18 GAA across his five home appearances this season.

The Los Angeles Kings average 28.3 shots per game while ranking fifth in Corsi For percentage at five-on-five, so I anticipate the Russian backup seeing enough rubber to go Over this number tonight.

Prop #2: Pavel Buchnevich Over 1.5 shots on goal

-130 at BET99

St. Louis Blues winger Pavel Buchenvich has recorded two or more shots in seven of his past 10 games for 18 total on 40 attempts.

The numbers don’t jump off the chart, but the Blues will hit the ice at the Canada Life Centre tonight without their four forwards leading the team in shots per 60 minutes, so I like Buchnevich to continue filling some of the void and hit this Over against the Winnipeg Jets

This matchup also checks out. Winnipeg ranks 26th in Corsi For percentage at five-on-five while allowing the ninth-most shots per game (28.8), too.

Prop #3: Josh Morrissey Over 1.5 shots on goal

-120 at BET99

There’s been a recent uptick in shot volume from Jets top blueliner Josh Morrissey, and he’s recorded two or more shots in six of his past seven games for 19 total on 31 attempts.

Both marks rank second on the Jets during the stretch, and I also value the go-to defenseman averaging a monster 24:25 of ice time per game while also skating with the No. 1 power-play unit.

The recent run is sustainable, too. Morrissey’s 4.45 shots and 9.44 attempts per 60 minutes this season are well below his 5.29 and 13.31 marks from 2024-25.
