Our best NHL player props for Tuesday, January 6
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Cutter Gauthier Over 2.5 shots on goal (-135)
Anaheim Ducks star Cutter Gauthier continues to pepper the net and has three or more shots in six of his past eight games for 35 total on 70 attempts.
He ranks in the 99th percentile of shots on goal among forwards for the season, with his 13.05 shots and 25.21 attempts per 60 minutes both pacing the NHL.
Additionally, while this isn’t a high-end matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers, Gauthier does sport a 56.1 Corsi For percentage at 5-on-5 and usually trades at a 3.5 total in this market.

Prop #2: Sam Reinhart Over 2.5 shots on goal (-130)
The Toronto Maple Leafs have surrendered the most shots per game and the fifth-most attempts per 60 minutes at 5-on-5, so this is a soft matchup for Florida Panthers star Sam Reinhart to record three or more shots for the fourth time in five games.
Reinhart has piled up 14 shots on 26 attempts across his previous four contests while averaging a monster 23:23 of ice time per night, and he’s clicked with center Anton Lundell for a rock-solid 56.6 Corsi For percentage at 5-on-5 out of the holiday break.

Prop #3: Zach Werenski Over 3.5 shots on goal (+125)
Columbus Blue Jackets blueliner Zach Werenski has recorded four or more shots in 22 of 37 games while ranking in the 99th percentile of defensemen in the category, and he lands in a cushy matchup against the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday.
San Jose has allowed the second-most shots per game and attempts per 60 minutes at 5-on-5, and the Sharks also average the seventh-most shorthanded time per game.
