Our best NHL player props for Thursday, January 15
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: David Pastrnak Over 0.5 assists
David Pastrnak has collected 56 points this season, including 37 assists, which ranks in the Top 10 in the league.
The 29-year-old has cashed the Over in helpers in four of his previous six appearances, and he even supplied six assists in last weekend’s blowout win over the New York Rangers. Last time out, Pastrnak also set up a goal in a victory over Detroit.
The Boston Bruins face the Seattle Kraken tonight at home, and Pastrnak has registered 20 assists in 20 games at the TD Garden.

Prop #2: Connor McDavid Over 1.5 points
You’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone as hot as Connor McDavid. After a bit of a slow start to the campaign, he’s come alive. The three-time Hart Trophy winner ranks first in the league in points with 82, scoring 30 goals and tallying 52 assists — video game numbers from the Edmonton Oilers star.
McDavid has notched Over 1.5 points in five of his last six appearances, and he’s already posted 12 points in January. In back-to-back games on Monday and Tuesday, McDavid tallied two helpers in each contest.
The Oilers host the New York Islanders tonight, and McDavid has more than two points per game at Rogers Place, compiling 42 points in just 20 contests.

Prop #3: Zach Werenski Over 3.5 shots on goal
Zach Werenski is an incredibly productive defenceman, and the numbers say it all. He’s sitting at 50 points, scoring 17 goals and registering 33 assists. That also means Werenski has no issues creating opportunities. He’s averaging 3.69 SOG per game, numbers you’d usually see from a forward.
He's hit the Over in SOG in two of his last three, finishing with five on Tuesday in a win over Calgary, where he also scored and had two assists. The Columbus Blue Jackets clash with the Vancouver Canucks tonight, and Werenski notched four SOG against them earlier in the campaign.
Werenski is also averaging 3.78 SOG at home, so getting this pick at plus money is fair value.
