Our best NHL player props for Saturday, December 20

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Prop #1: Connor McDavid Over 1.5 points

+100 at BET99

Connor McDavid is absolutely killing the competition lately. He’s scored 10 goals and tallied 12 assists in his last eight games, taking the superstar’s total on the season to 58 points, which is second in the NHL.

He’s stepped it up another notch over the last few weeks, and the goals are starting to come, too.

The Edmonton Oilers franchise cornerstone has cashed the Over in points in seven of his last eight appearances. McDavid finished with two points on Thursday against the Bruins, and just two days previously, he posted four points against the Penguins.

McDavid was actually held point-less earlier this month against the Minnesota Wild, which is likely why his odds are set at a generous +100 here. But, given his recent play, I’ll take the veteran to put together another brilliant performance.

Prop #2: Leon Draisaitl Over 0.5 assists

-170 at BET99

We shift over to McDavid’s co-star, who is also lighting up the scoresheet on a nightly basis.

Leon Draisaitl has a whopping 15 helpers in his last eight games, and he’s registered 31 assists overall in 2025-26. That ranks fourth in the league.

The German star has hit the Over in helpers in seven of his last eight contests as well. In fact, Draisaitl has five assists in his previous two games alone. On Tuesday, he set up four goals in a win over Pittsburgh.

Draisaitl also failed to grab an assist earlier this season against Minny, but he’s also scorching hot at the moment.

Prop #3: Tim Stutzle Over 0.5 assists

-125 at BET99

I’ll round things out with another solid German-born player.

Tim Stutzle continues to produce the goods for the Ottawa Senators, scoring 15 goals and posting 19 assists. I’ll focus on his playmaking for this afternoon.

Stutzle has cashed the Over in helpers three straight outings, and during that span, he’s compiled five assists. Thursday’s win over the Pens saw him set up Ottawa’s only goal, and on Monday, he registered three assists vs. Boston.

The Sens take on the Chicago Blackhawks today, and although they lost to them in October, it was a productive evening for Stutzle, who had a goal and an assist. He’ll keep it rolling here.
