Our best NHL player props for Saturday, January 17

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Prop #1: Roman Josi Over 0.5 assists

+140 at BET99

Roman Josi is having a decent campaign for the Nashville Predators. He’s scored eight goals and supplied 18 helpers across 35 games. Josi is a solid playmaker for a defenceman, and he’s been setting goals up at a high level lately.

The Swiss-born Josi has cashed the Over in helpers in two of his last three, but he didn’t just register one assist. During that three-game span, the 35-year-old has five helpers. On Friday night, in a surprising win over the Colorado Avalanche, Josi compiled three assists.

He also had a pair of assists last Sunday and two goals on Tuesday. Overall, he’s playing with a lot of confidence offensively, and Josi will carry it into tonight’s clash with the Vegas Golden Knights.

Prop #2: Mika Zibanejad anytime goal

+215 at BET99

The New York Rangers might be in shambles, but Mika Zibanejad is still playing like the star that he is. The 32-year-old has potted 18 goals in 2025-26, and he’s also added 25 assists. Zibanejad has been dominating in January, already netting six times and tallying seven helpers as well.

The Swede has scored in three of his last four games. He did find the back of the net in three straight before settling for a pair of assists on Wednesday against the Ottawa Senators. The Rangers are on the road this afternoon, facing the Philadelphia Flyers, and he already scored this season against them in one meeting.

Plus, Zibanejad has 11 of his 18 goals on the road.

Prop #3: Mark Scheifele Over 0.5 assists

-110 at BET99

Mark Schiefele is definitely a bright spot for the struggling Winnipeg Jets. He’s one of their best players, scoring 23 and assisting 35. The 32-year-old is a consistent producer and an irreplaceable leader for this team.

The Kitchener, Ontario native has notched five assists across his last two games alone, and he already has eight helpers in January. On Thursday, he set up three goals in a win over the Minnesota Wild. He also tallied two helpers on Tuesday against the New York Islanders.

The Jets welcome the Toronto Maple Leafs to town tonight, and Scheifele has 21 of his assists at home in just 23 games. He also had a helper against them earlier in the campaign.
