Flames vs Sharks Prediction, Picks & Same-Game Parlay for Tonight’s NHL Game

The Flames are betting favorites in San Jose, and they should be. Dustin Wolf has completely dismantled the Sharks over nine career starts (8-1), and the Jonathan Huberdeau-Morgan Frost duo should carry the offensive load.

Winners of four of the last five, the Calgary Flames face off against one of the teams they are chasing in the Pacific Division when they visit the San Jose Sharks tonight.

The Sharks return home after a spectacular end to a five-game road trip, which included back-to-back OT wins.

However, with Calgary on its best run of the season, my Flames vs. Sharks predictions and NHL picks have the visitors picking up an eighth consecutive win over San Jose on Tuesday, December 16.

Flames vs Sharks prediction

Flames vs Sharks best bet: Flames moneyline (-130)

The Calgary Flames' mini two-game set in California started strong, with a 2-1 OT win over the Kings on Saturday night.

Flames goalie Dustin Wolf stopped 21 of 22 shots to earn the win, the fourth time in five December games he’s allowed one goal or less.

Wolf should get the call tonight against the San Jose Sharks, if only because the Gilroy, California native has owned them like no other.

He’s gone 8-1-0 in nine career starts, more than twice as many wins as he has had against any other NHL team. One of his wins came this year, when he stopped all 17 shots in a 2-0 win.

Calgary, in general, has dominated this head-to-head, with seven straight wins, while holding San Jose to two goals or less in every single contest.

Calgary has been the betting favorite in each of the last 10 matchups and has gone 9-1-0 in those games.

Flames vs Sharks same-game parlay

Jonathan Huberdeau picked up his 10th assist of the year, setting up Morgan Frost's game-winner against the Kings, which is a nice lead-in for San Jose, a team he’s had great success against.

Huberdeau has points in four of the last five games against San Jose, with three goals and three assists.

Frost skates with Huberdeau on Calgary's top line and primary power-play unit, and is third on the team in goals this season. Another hook-up like the one we saw on Saturday will make all the difference.
