The Vegas Golden Knights are one of just four teams without a regulation loss so far this season, but the Calgary Flames will look to change that when the teams face off for the second time in five days.

Rasmus Andersson was an offensive catalyst against Vegas earlier this week, and I’ll be looking for the blueliner to get pucks on net tonight in my Flames vs. Golden Knights predictions and NHL picks for Saturday, October 18.

Flames vs Golden Knights prediction

Flames vs Golden Knights Best bet: Rasmus Andersson Over 1.5 shots (-130)

Scoring has been hard to come by for the Calgary Flames in the early going, but Rasmus Andersson has done his best to ignite the offense.

The Flames defenseman scored his first goal of the year against the Utah Mammoth on Wednesday and has been a consistent shooting threat from the blue line.

Andersson is tied for third on the club with 10 shots on goal through five games, and I’m banking on the blueliner to record over 2.5 shots against the Las Vegas Golden Knights tonight.

He’s tallied 2+ shots in four of five outings and also logged a season-high four attempts on target vs. the Golden Knights on Tuesday.

According to Natural Stat Trick, Andersson also ranks in the top 10 among all defensemen in shot attempts (21; 9th), expected goals (1.61; 2nd), and scoring chances (11; 8th).

The veteran is logging over 24 minutes of ice time per game, so he’ll have plenty of chances to throw the puck on net tonight.

Flames vs Golden Knights same-game parlay

Nazem Kadri co-leads Calgary with three points and has found the score sheet in three of five games this season. The center also leads all Flames forwards with 20:45 of ice time per game, so he’s their most likely suspect to record a point tonight.

Jack Eichel is the NHL’s leading scorer in the early going with 11 points in five games. Eichel has had multiple points in four of those contests, while Mark Stone has an assist in all five outings.

Flames vs Golden Knights SGP

  • Nazem Kadri Over 0.5 points
  • Jack Eichel Over 1.5 points
  • Mark Stone Over 0.5 assists
