The Vancouver Canucks will visit the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight on Sunday, November 16, marking the first meeting between these two teams this season.

There's a ton of value in my Canucks vs. Lightning predictions and NHL picks as Vancouver takes on a depleted Tampa Bay squad.

Canucks vs Lightning prediction

Canucks vs Lightning Best bet: Evander Kane Over 2.5 shots (-160)

Vancouver Canucks forward Evander Kane paces both teams with 60 shots on goal this season, good for 21st in the entire NHL. The Vancouver native only has nine points thus far in his first season with his hometown team, but he's been firing on all cylinders lately.

Kane has racked up 4+ shots on goal in five of the last seven games and hit his Over in six of those. Only Jason Robertson of the Stars has recorded more shots on goal than Kane's 33 during that time.

Additionally, he's facing a depleted Tampa Bay Lightning club missing several key pieces in Victor Hedman, Ryan McDonagh, and Anthony Cirelli.

Canucks vs Lightning same-game parlay

Although the Canucks travel to Tampa riding a lacklustre three-game losing skid, two of those losses have come via overtime, and the other was a narrow two-goal loss to the Jets. They've covered the spread in three of the last four games.

Given the extensive injuries to Tampa Bay, coupled with tonight's game being the second half of a back-to-back after beating the Panthers on Saturday, I expect Vancouver to cover once again.

Despite several of Tampa's important players being sidelined, former 50-goal scorer Brayden Point has continued to struggle in this young season. He has just nine points in 17 games, one in his last seven, and has been held pointless in four straight. While Vancouver is far from stellar defensively, Point continues to be ice-cold, and there's value in his Under.
