Detroit Lions Nearing Top of Super Bowl Odds

The Detroit Lions have shut the doubters up following an ugly loss to the Packers in their season opener, and now they're near the top of the Super Bowl odds.

The Detroit Lions have spent the last four weeks of football making everyone forget about their opening game loss, clawing their way back up the Super Bowl odds.

Since losing 27-13 at Green Bay in Week 1, the Lions have rampaged through the schedule with four straight wins — taking those victories by an average margin of 19 points. That includes a 37-24 beatdown of the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5.

Detroit, which entered the season at +1,000 to win Super Bowl LX and fell to +1,700 after Week 1, is now set at +800 to win the Lombardi Trophy. That puts the Lions ahead of the Green Bay Packers (+850) and just behind the Philadelphia Eagles (+650) Buffalo Bills (+420) as the third-overall favorite.

The odds to win the NFC have also shifted, with the Lions improving to 4-1 and the Eagles falling to 4-1 after a loss to the Denver Broncos at home on Sunday. Detroit is now a +360 favorite to win the NFC title, ahead of Philadelphia (+370) and Green Bay (+450).

Detroit entered the 2025 campaign at +475 to win the conference title and dropped to +850 after the loss to the Packers, before steadily climbing the NFC futures board with each win the past four weeks.

The Lions get to test their championship mettle against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football in Week 6.
