The red-hot New England Patriots will be looking to make it nine wins in a row in Week 12 when they face the Joe Burrow-less Cincinnati Bengals on November 23.

New England is a touchdown favorite here, and as I’ll explain in my early Patriots vs Bengals predictions, I don’t see any issues with it covering.

Patriots vs Bengals predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early Patriots vs Bengals spread pick: Patriots -7

-105 at FanDuel

The New England Patriots have been one of the biggest surprises of the 2025 campaign. Drake Maye has turned into a legitimate QB1, and he has his team in first place in the AFC East.

New England is sitting at 9-2 on the year, covering Week 12's seven-point spread in three of its last five contests. The Pats just beat up the New York Jets 27-14 on Thursday Night Football, and although the Cincinnati Bengals may not be as poor as the Jets, their record isn’t far off.

Plus, Burrow remains sidelined, and Cincy has lost three in a row. That includes a 34-12 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11.

No matter how far Joe Flacco can dial back the clock, his offense can't put up enough points to soften the blow of how many points New England can score. Maye has plenty of weapons at his disposal to pick apart the worst defense in the league.

The Patriots look incredibly strong at the moment and should comfortably win by a touchdown, at the very least.

Early Patriots vs Bengals total pick: Under 50.5

-112 at FanDuel

The total is relatively high for Sunday’s showdown, sitting at 50.5 points. Matchups between New England and Cincinnati are rarely high-scoring, as the last two have both hit the Under.

We’re looking at a team in the Pats who are electric offensively, but can get the job done on the other side of the ball.

Cincy is far from elite defensively, and I do believe it's going to allow a fair share of points on Sunday, while New England should be able to contain the Bengals. We could see a blowout in favor of the Pats, but the total will stay Under 50.
