The Carolina Panthers haven’t exactly taken the fight to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for this division title. While Tampa is just 1-7 over its last eight, Carolina has alternated wins and losses over its last nine.
Over the last three wins, the common denominator has been the play of rookie Tetairoa McMillan, who has scored in each.
McMillan had a TD in the first meeting with Tampa on December 21, hauled in a 43-yard TD that stood as the winning score in a 31-28 win over the Rams on November 30, and had a monster 8-catch, 130-yard, 2-TD effort in a 30-27 OT win against the Falcons on November 16.
McMillan has had five TD receptions in his last six games, and also has enticing odds to find the end zone on Saturday.
Buccaneers anytime touchdown pick
Mike Evans (+160 at FanDuel)
I get that Baker Mayfield has been one of the worst QBs in the NFL down the home stretch, but it still feels wild to me that Mike Evans has plus-money odds to score a TD on Saturday.
He’s clearly Mayfield’s most trusted pass catcher, with the most targets of any Bucs receiver over the last three games since coming back from injury, and he has TDs in back-to-back appearances.
Plus, Evans has feasted on the Carolina defense, with a whopping 12 touchdowns in his last 10 games against the Panthers.
For his career, he has 15 TD grabs in 22 games against Carolina. This wager should be hammered.
