Bo Nix has started throwing more frequently for Denver in recent weeks, and we expect that trend to continue in Sunday’s showdown against Green Bay.

The Denver Broncos will face a tough test to their winning streak when the Green Bay Packers visit on Sunday afternoon.

I expect both Bo Nix and Jordan Love to find success — each in their own way — in my Packers vs. Broncos player props for December 14.

Prop bet #1: Bo Nix Over 22.5 completions

-130 at FanDuel

While Bo Nix has impressed in his sophomore season in the NFL, we don’t normally think of him as a quarterback who puts up huge numbers.

In 13 games this year, the Denver Broncos pivot sports 19 passing touchdowns and 2,954 passing yards — solid enough numbers to be sure, but far from the league leaders in those and other statistical categories.

However, Nix has been throwing the ball more frequently in recent weeks, attempting 37+ passes in four of his last five games. And in each of the last three weeks, he’s completed at least 24 passes with solid completion percentages in all of those contests.

Nix should be able to keep up that streak against the Green Bay Packers. While the Packers limit yardage, opposing quarterbacks still complete 65.3% of their passes. At home and taking advantage of safe opportunities, I expect Nix to hit his completions Over.

Prop bet #2: RJ Harvey anytime touchdown

Denver has been a defense-first team this season, and it’s been the defense that has powered its 10-game winning streak. But when the Broncos need some offensive production, it’s almost always RJ Harvey who comes to the rescue.

With Dobbins sidelined due to a foot injury, Harvey has received double-digit carries in each of the last three games. While he isn’t matching Dobbins’ yardage production, he has recorded three rushing touchdowns over the past two weeks.

Along with five total rushing scores on the year, Harvey has also caught four touchdown passes, all of which came even before Dobbins got hurt. I expect the Broncos to lean on Harvey for offense again on Sunday, making him a great pick to score at these odds.

Prop bet #3: Jordan Love Over 1.5 passing touchdowns

+124 at FanDuel

When teams do find limited success against Denver, it tends to come in the passing game, as the Broncos are holding opponents to just 3.7 yards per run.

That means talented quarterbacks and receiving corps will have opportunities to put up numbers against Denver. Few quarterbacks have performed better this year than Jordan Love, who ranks in the top five with 22 touchdown passes this season.

Love has been on a tear in recent weeks, throwing seven touchdown passes over the past two games and nine in his last four. His production only slowed in a 23-6 win over Minnesota, where he attempted just 21 passes.

If Green Bay is going to come out of Denver with a win, it’ll require Love to have a big game, and two touchdown passes isn't too much to ask.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Outside of gambling, Ed is an avid curler who competes in mixed doubles on the World Curling Tour and runs a popular curling YouTube channel, Chess on Ice. That experience has come in handy during the Olympics, when he has proven to be a successful curling bettor as well.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
