While the New York Giants and Denver Broncos were both victorious in Week 6, those wins couldn’t be any more contrasting.

Public perception is pushing around the odds for this non-conference clash, but my early Giants vs. Broncos predictions explain why I'm not letting Denver's ugly win in London scare me away.

Giants vs Broncos predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early Giants vs Broncos spread pick: Broncos -7

-110 at FanDuel

The look-ahead spread before the results from Week 6 listed the Denver Broncos as an 8.5-point home favorite.

However, after the New York Giants' one-sided win on TNF and the Broncos' brutal showing in the UK, this one officially opened -7.5 and dropped to a touchdown in the opening minutes of action Sunday night.

I believe the G-Men are ripe for regression, with star rookie Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo hitting the road and making the trip to altitude this coming Sunday.

We’ve already seen New York get caught in letdown spots at New Orleans, and the Broncos are a much stiffer test defensively than the Giants have faced all season.

New York has an underrated defense, at least when it comes to the front seven. However, the Broncos' pass protection ranks among the elite, and I see a much stronger offensive showing from Denver at home in Week 7.

I’ll lay the touchdown in Mile High.

Early Giants vs Broncos total pick: Under 40.5

-115 at FanDuel

As mentioned, this Broncos defense is the best stop unit New York has faced all season. Denver just held the other N.Y. team to a total of only 85 yards in that ugly Week 6 win and has allowed a combined 31 points over the past three contests.

Dart climbs the mountain for just his second road start, facing a Denver defense leading the league in pressure rate as well as sacks (30). The fleet-footed rookie will be running for his life in Week 7.

The Broncos did a good job containing dual-threat QB Justin Fields to only 31 yards on the weekend and also bottled up Jalen Hurts for a mere three yards rushing in their win over the Eagles in Week 5.

As for the Denver offense, it isn’t overly explosive in terms of big plays. Quarterback Bo Nix boasts the sixth-lowest intended air yards per attempt, and the Broncos' run blocking should be able to bully a bad Giants run stop for gains on the ground (New York is 29th in EPA allowed per handoff).

I’m leaning Under 40.5 points on this NFC vs. AFC affair with these teams combining for a 3-9 Over/Under count entering Week 7.
