It’s playoff time baby!
This is going to be a lot of fun. We’re ready for some big games, and hopefully some big winners, too.
I’ve checked the data and come up with three NFL picks for players to open the scoring in their respective games.
Here are my best NFL first touchdown scorer props.

TD prop #1: Kyren Williams first TD scorer
The Rams are the biggest favorites on the board over Wild Card Weekend, and given their performances this season, we’re almost certain to see them beat a Panthers team who lack real quality.
We’ve seen Blake Corum’s role increase in recent weeks, but Kyren Williams is still the standout choice to score the first touchdown.
Even with Corum’s increase in work we’ve still seen Williams out-carry Corum 10-6 inside the 10-yard line since Week 13. He’s scored 13 touchdowns this season, and has scored the opening touchdown in four Rams games.
Not only that, but the Panthers are averaging over one touchdown allowed per game to opposing running backs.
TD prop #2: Travis Etienne first TD scorer
The Jags could shock the Bills at EverBank Stadium on Sunday, and if they do, it’s likely to involve Travis Etienne scoring for the home team.
He’s had a great season with 13 touchdowns, and what really stands out is that he’s a dual-threat running back, with six of those coming from receptions. He’s scored six times across the past five games, and has found form late in the season.
No team has given up more rushing touchdowns to opposing RBs than the Bills, with 18, and Etienne will be vital to the Jags in the red zone. He’s scored the opening touchdown in three of their games across the season and is available at decent odds to do it again here.
TD prop #3: Dalton Schultz first TD scorer
After missing Week 18, Nico Collins returns to the Texans lineup on Monday. But even with their star wideout back, we still need to consider tight end Dalton Schultz a live option to score the opener against the Steelers.
He’s only scored three times all season, but two of those have come in the past month. He ranks second on the Texans roster in red-zone targets across the year.
With the Steelers giving up 11 touchdowns to TEs this season, tied for third-most in the league, it could be a good Monday for the former Stanford man.
