The Arizona Cardinals have put up a fight in a few games this season, but I don’t think that’ll be the case in Houston this time around. The Houston Texans boast one of the best defenses in the league, and they’re capable of scoring as well.
Arizona just allowed 45 points to the Rams, and while the Texans’ offense is a step below Los Angeles’, Houston should be able to get into the high-20s while holding the Cardinals in the low teens.
Early Cardinals vs Texans total pick: Under 42.5
The Texans are allowing a league-low 16 points per game this season, and the Cardinals only average 21.7 points per game. The only hesitation I have about taking the under is if the Texans will pile on the points against Arizona as the Rams did.
Nevertheless, the under has to be the play here, given the matchup between one of the best defenses in the league and one of the worst teams overall.
