The Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Bengals are both coming off losses ahead of their Week 9 game at Paycor Stadium on Sunday, November 2.

My early Bears vs. Bengals predictions and NFL picks are calling for Chicago returning to the wins column in a high-scoring showdown Sunday afternoon.

Bears vs Bengals predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early Bears vs Bengals spread pick: Bears -2.5

-105 at FanDuel

There is no stop in the Cincinnati Bengals' defense, and the Chicago Bears have the offensive personnel to put points on the board.

Cincinnati has allowed the most points per game while ranking 30th in PFF defense grade and 32nd in defensive DVOA, while Chicago has middling offensive ranks across the board and has also won and covered four straight before losing last week.

Additionally, the Bears' offense moved the ball well with 6.0 yards per play and 372 total yards in the Week 8 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Chicago just failed to find the end zone and settled for three field goals on four attempts.

On the flip side, the Bengals just allowed 39 points to the then-winless New York Jets and failed to cover as a -5.5 favorite.

With this spread Under the key number of 3, I’m happy to side with the team that’s shown a defensive pulse. The Bears ranked seventh in defensive DVOA while allowing the fourth-lowest EPA per play and just 19 points per game during their highlighted four-game winning streak, after all.

Early Bears vs Bengals total pick: Over 51.5

Even with the highlighted strong stretch from the Chicago defense, the Cincy offense is going to put points on the board Sunday. The Bengals have scored 71 points across their past two home games, and veteran quarterback Joe Flacco has thrown for five touchdowns without an interception.

The Cincy one-two punch of wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins have clicked with Flacco, too.

This is also a rebound spot for Chicago's second-year QB Caleb Williams. He’s flashed this season while throwing for a respectable 7.3 yards per attempt and 8.6 aDoT, and the Bears also have the talent surrounding him to move the chains and put a big number on the board against the Cincy defense.

Of course, the Over has also hit in all four games at Paycor Stadium this season and 10 of the past 11 dating back to last year.
