Deep South's Oldest Rivalry heads between the hedges as Georgia hosts Auburn for a pivotal Week 7 SEC showdown, with the Bulldogs laying 20.5 points.

Auburn rolls into Athens sitting at 1–2 in conference play after stumbling on the road against Tennessee last week. Meanwhile, Georgia puts its undefeated record on the line following a gritty, prime-time thriller over Alabama last Saturday.

My Auburn vs. Georgia prediction and college football picks expect Georgia's dominance to continue in front of their home fans.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN on Saturday, Oct. 17 from Sanford Stadium.

 TOP PICK
Who will win Auburn vs Georgia: Georgia -20.5

Playable to 54%.

Georgia only defeated Alabama by three points in Week 6, but they dominated a lot of process metrics in that game — +4 first downs, +109 Net Yards, +6:56 time of possession.

The Bulldogs look like legitimate national championship contenders, which is supported by the advanced analytics. Georgia ranks 6th in offensive success rate, methodically moving the chains and putting themselves into position to score points. Pro Football Focus has Georgia as the overall top-graded team in the country, ranking second in offensive grade and third in defensive grade.

This is a well-rounded roster that lacks an obvious flaw. This weekend's game against Auburn isn't likely to be very competitive.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Georgia has won 9 consecutive home games against Auburn, going 8-1 ATS in those matchups.

Auburn vs Georgia Over/Under pick: Under 49.5

Playable to 53%.

Byrum Brown and the Auburn offense have struggled mightily in recent weeks. The Tigers scored only 21 points, had only 15 first downs, and finished with a meager 279 yards of total offense against Vanderbilt — a team that allowed Ole Miss to score at will in Week 6.

Auburn only had 17 first downs last weekend against Tennessee, too, resulting in an underwhelming 14 points. Moreover, one of Auburn's touchdowns was only a 19-yard scoring drive following an interception.

Georgia held Alabama to only 17 points and 17 first downs in Week 6, playing on the road in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide had scored at least 45 points in each of their previous five games to begin 2026, but were kept quiet by an elite Bulldogs defense.

The weather forecast could also support the under this weekend, with windy conditions potentially impacting the efficiency of downfield passing attempts.

Auburn vs Georgia combo

Playable to 25%.

Georgia has legitimate championship aspirations, with a roster that features one of the most formidable defenses in the country. No team has scored more than 20 points against the Bulldogs to date in 2026, and only Western Kentucky (14 points in garbage time) has scored more than 17 points against Georgia.

The Bulldogs like to get up early, then take their foot off the gas pedal late — possibly due to good sportsmanship, or more probably because they are prioritizing player health and safety after the game is securely out of reach for their opponent. Georgia's most important games aren't likely to come until the playoffs.

Expect them to get out to a big lead early, then take the air out of this game script in the second half.

Auburn vs Georgia combo

  • Georgia -20.5
  • Under 49.5

Auburn vs Georgia prop: Georgia -10.5, 1st Half Spread

Playable to 62%.

Georgia trailed 14-10 at the half last weekend against Alabama, but that was a rare slow start for the Bulldogs. Prior to that, Georgia was undefeated in the first half of games. Their most notable fast starts came against Oklahoma, up 28-0 at the break, and Arkansas, up 21-3 at the half.

The Bulldogs are well-coached, disciplined, and have the benefit of being at home in Week 7 against an SEC foe that will be playing their second consecutive road contest. This game could turn into a lopsided affair earlier than the market expects.
