It’s been a dominant start to the Eastern Conference Finals for the Indiana Pacers, who look for a 3-0 series lead tonight against the New York Knicks.

Tyrese Haliburton has been a big part of Indiana’s success, as he’s been a scoring threat as well as his team’s best playmaker this postseason.

Here’s a look at my best Tyrese Haliburton player props and NBA picks for Game 3 of Knicks vs. Pacers on Sunday, May 25.

Tyrese Haliburton best bet

Tyrese Haliburton Over 9.5 assists (-115 at bet365)

After scoring 31 points in Game 1, including a clutch game-tying buzzer beater to send the contest to overtime, Tyrese Haliburton had a slower scoring night in Game 2 with just 14 points.

The third-year guard was still a big part of the Indiana Pacers’ success, however, as he dished 11 dimes for the second straight contest — a trend I’m expecting to continue in Game 3.

Haliburton leads Indiana with 9.6 assists per game this postseason and has hit double digits in seven of his 12 appearances. He also boasts a 37.6 assist percentage — the second-highest mark on the team, just behind bench guard T.J. McConnell (41%).

The beauty of Haliburton’s game is that he can both score and set up teammates — a dual threat that the New York Knicks have yet to solve. And because the Pacers have so many capable scorers — five averaging 14+ ppg this postseason to be exact — he’s never short of options to dish off the rock.

The Pacers are generating by far the most assists per game among all teams in the postseason (29.1), and I’ll be looking for Haliburton to lead the way in terms of playmaking again tonight.

Tyrese Haliburton same-game parlay

Tyrese Haliburton Over 9.5 assists

Tyrese Haliburton 5+ rebounds

Pacers team total Over 115.5

Along with his playmaking, Haliburton’s also been an effective rebounder his postseason, snagging 5.6 boards per game.

The Pacers starting point guard grabbed eight rebounds in Game 2 and has collected 5+ boards in nine of 12 contests this postseason, so it’s more likely than not he hits that number again in Game 3.

Indiana is averaging 119.1 ppg in these playoffs and has recorded Over 115.5 points in eight of 12 games.

Haliburton, Pascal Siakam, and Aaron Nesmith have all put up 30+ point games against the Knicks already, so it’s clear the Pacers will be able to run up the score in this matchup.
