Best NBA player props today

Player Pick bet365
Bulls Matas Buzelis Over 16.5 points -117
Thunder Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Under 34.5 points -117
76ers VJ Edgecombe Over 17.5 points -118

Prop #1: Matas Buzelis Over 16.5 points

-117 at bet365

Matas Buzelis had an impressive rookie season for the Chicago Bulls, averaging 8.6 points per night as he showed serious potential to be a key piece for this team. The Lithuanian-American has picked up right where he left off so far in 2025-26, dropping 21 points in the opener against the Detroit Pistons.

The 21-year-old is getting a lot of opportunities within this Bulls offense, and I really like how he looked the other night. His total is set relatively low, but there’s no doubt that Buzelis is going to take a significant step up in Year 2. He looks confident, and he’s scoring the rock at will.

Hammer the Over.

Prop #2: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Under 34.5 points

-117 at bet365

It’s not too often I’m going to eye the Under for the reigning MVP, but tonight is a rare occasion. While SGA did drop 55 a couple of nights ago against the Indiana Pacers, he averaged exactly 33 points per contest last season against tonight’s opponent, the Atlanta Hawks.

34.5 is a very high total, and although I have zero doubt he will ball out, hitting 35 points once again isn’t super likely. The trends point to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander staying around the 30 mark here. I personally don’t see a lot of value in the Over, and hopefully, SGA proves me right.

He also averaged 31.9 PPG on the road last season, compared to 33.5 at home.

Prop #3: VJ Edgecombe Over 17.5 points

-118 at bet365

VJ Edgecombe’s story is very inspirational. He had a difficult upbringing, and being in the NBA is an opportunity that he’s surely not going to waste. The Philadelphia 76ers saw exactly what they have on their hands in the season opener, with Edgecombe showing out for 34 points in his NBA debut.

The rookie was electric with the rock in his hands, and there’s no reason to believe he won’t have another impressive showing tonight. Edgecombe was also solid in his final preseason game, scoring 26 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

He could easily hit another 20 points, at the very least. With his total at just 17.5, this is a no-brainer.
