What better way to kick off the weekend than with a nine-game NBA slate?
NBA Cup Group Play continues tonight, and I’ve got three NBA player props highlighted by key injuries and favorable matchups.
My NBA picks are looking for Karl-Anthony Towns and Giannis Antetokounmpo to dominate in the paint, and for Tyrese Maxey to continue his high-scoring ways on Friday, November 14.

Prop #1: Karl-Anthony Towns Over 38.5 points + rebounds
With Jalen Brunson sidelined, Karl-Anthony Towns will be New York's de facto leading scorer. He gets a great matchup with Miami's interior defense, which will be missing Bam Adebayo once again.
The Heat have allowed the eighth-most points per game, including the 10th-most points in the paint. Miami has surrendered the seventh-most rebounds per game at 58.1, but they’ve given up the second-most boards across their last three, at 64.3.
Towns is averaging 34.5 points + rebounds at home compared to 28.3 on the road.

Prop #2: Tyrese Maxey Over 29.5 points
Tyrese Maxey is averaging 32.1 points per game this season, including 34.2 on the road. He's scored 30+ points in three of five road matchups, and he'll get the benefit of facing a wounded Pistons defense tonight.
Detroit will be without elite defender Ausar Thompson, and a number of key options are banged up, giving Maxey an edge.
Joel Embiid is sidelined, and VJ Edgecombe is less than 100%, which means Maxey could be leaned on even more heavily on offense.

Prop #3: Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 43.5 points + rebounds
Giannis Antetokounmpo has been elite as a scorer and rebounder this season, and he's hit the Over on this line in seven of 10 games. An already favorable matchup gets a boost with rookie rim protector Ryan Kalkbrenner out for Charlotte.
Antetokounmpo is averaging 33.4 points and 11.9 rebounds, good for 45.4 points + rebounds. Charlotte has surrendered the 10th-most points per game, and the Hornets have been below-average defending scorers in the paint.
The Greek Freak has posted at least 44 points + rebounds in four of five home matchups this season. He averaged 40 points + rebounds in two matchups with Charlotte last season, hitting the Over in the lone matchup at Fiserv Forum.
