But it’s a quick turnaround for Philadelphia after beating the Toronto Raptors on Saturday, and my Pistons vs 76ers predictions signal another statement outing for a Detroit team riding a five-game win streak.

Pistons vs 76ers best bet: Pistons -4.5 (-110)
The Detroit Pistons haven’t just been piling up victories over the past week; they’ve been laying the smack down. Sure, the opposition hasn’t been elite, but Detroit has covered the spread in five straight games, and four of the visitors’ last five wins have come by a double-digit margin.
While the Philadelphia 76ers boast an impressive ATS mark of their own, they’ll be without Paul George again, and Joel Embiid is doubtful after playing in the first game of Philadelphia’s back-to-back set. That leaves an enormous burden on Tyrese Maxey against a physical Pistons defense that’s only allowing 110.8 points per game (fourth-fewest in the NBA).
As Detroit’s engine, Cade Cunningham has served up three 30+ point outings in a row, and it’s tempting to make this contest all about the All-Star showdown between Cunningham and Maxey.
But the Pistons are 7-2 against the spread because they have a more reliable supporting cast, with more balanced scoring, and I don’t like the 76ers’ chances of keeping Jalen Duren off the glass if Embiid sits out.
Detroit has won two of the past three meetings between these teams, covering the spread both times, and I’m picking the visitors to improve on their 3-1 road record so far this year.

Cunningham sits second in the league with 9.7 assists per game. That number continues to climb, with Cade dishing 10+ dimes in four of his past five outings, headlined by an 18-assist effort last weekend.
I’m making the same case for Maxey, who will be asked to create just about everything for the hosts tonight. He’s averaging 8.3 APG, sixth-most in the league, and he’s nailed this Over in seven of his last eight contests. Maxey is also averaging 41.4 minutes through nine outings.
