Best NBA parlay picks for Saturday

NBA parlay pick 1

Evan Mobley Under 14.5 points

Knicks moneyline

Nuggets -7

Our path to winning this three-leg parlay ticket begins with the Cleveland Cavaliers hosting the Orlando Magic.

Cavs forward Evan Mobley averages 14.3 points per game at Rocket Mortgage Arena and didn’t clear his 14.5-point scoring prop in four of his last five regular season games. He faces a robust interior defense giving up the second-fewest points per game to forwards, the Cavs have other scoring options, and he won’t likely clear this scoring prop.

The Philadelphia 76ers have won nine straight, but they face a stiff challenge Saturday at Madison Square Garden against a New York Knicks squad riding a five-game winning streak with a 3-1 season series edge over the visitors.

New York is 27-14 at the Garden, playing with swagger, and is 24-6 as the home favorite this season. Philly was 7-15 straight up as the away underdog and was lucky to escape its home play-in matchup against Miami. Joel Embiid and the 76ers won’t be as fortunate against New York and its raucous MSG crowd on Saturday.

We head to Ball Arena for what should be an interesting series between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets. Denver has dominated its recent head-to-head history, winning eight straight, and is 5-0-0 ATS across its last five clashes against the Lakers. The Nuggets have covered the number in four of its previous five regular season games, is fresher, much healthier and a difficult matchup for Los Angeles on both ends of the floor.

NBA parlay pick 2

Franz Wagner Under 20.5 points

Anthony Edwards Under 27.5 points

Tyrese Maxey Over 21.5 points

D’Angelo Russell Under 3.5 made threes

The BetRivers alternate prop offerings are too juicy to bet on independently but perfect for a four-leg parlay.

Magic forward Franz Wagner hasn’t cleared his alt-prop scoring number across his last 10 games and likely won’t Saturday against the bruising duo of Mobley and Jarrett Allen. The Cavaliers allow the second-fewest points in the paint per game (45.5), while Wagner has struggled from downtown, will have to fight for every bucket inside, and isn’t likely to clear 20.5 points against the Cavs’ strong stop unit.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards has exceeded his alternate prop number only twice across his past 10 and won’t likely do so on Saturday. Edwards averaged 14.7 points per tilt in the T-Wolves' three losses to the Phoenix Suns; we should expect that trend to continue as he struggles to shoot well from anywhere against the longer Phoenix perimeter defenders.

76ers guard Tyrese Maxey has been on fire, clearing his scoring prop in each of his last eight, and will likely repeat this trend on Saturday. The Knicks' perimeter defense allows 36.5% shooting from downtown — Maxey makes 37% of his triples but scored 19 points while going 1-6 Wednesday against the Miami Heat. Maxey cleared this prop number twice in his three contests against the Knicks this season and should bounce back from Wednesday’s rough shooting night against New York’s below-average perimeter defense.

Saturday’s nightcap should cash this ticket because Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell will have trouble making four triples against the NBA’s eighth-best 3-point defense. He made two threes in his two contests against Denver this season, averages 2.6 made threes per game on the road, and will stay Under Saturday at Ball Arena.
