Pacers vs Cavaliers Props & Best Bets for Today

After shaking up the Cleveland Cavaliers on their home floor, the Indiana Pacers are ready to put the foot to the pedal and keep the wheels rolling as the Cavs try to brush off their start and get back on track for Game 2.

The Indiana Pacers stole home court with a convincing victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1, and they’ll look to take a commanding 2-0 lead with a victory in Game 2. Darius Garland sat out Game 1, and he’s joined by Evan Mobley and De’Andre Hunter as Cleveland players who are listed as questionable tonight.

The shorthanded Cavs will surely come out with a sense of urgency in this one, but they’ll face an uphill battle if multiple key players are sidelined.

For my Pacers vs. Cavaliers props and NBA picks for Tuesday, May 6, I’m targeting combo props for Indiana’s dynamic duo of Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner and a scoring prop for the NBA’s most efficient bench scorers.

Best Warriors vs Timberwolves props

  • Pacers Turner Over 21.5 points & rebounds (-115)
  • Cavaliers Jerome Over 14.5 points (-115)
  • Pacers Haliburton double-double (-125)

Pacers vs Cavaliers player props for May 6

Pacers Myles Turner Over 21.5 points & rebounds (-115 at bet365)

I absolutely love this line tonight, and I’m all in on the Over here. Myles Turner is fresh off a 13/11 double-double in Game 1, and I’m going to sprinkle a little money on his double-double prop which is set at a juicy +350. The safer bet, however, is his points & rebounds combo line.

Turner averaged 15.6 points and 6.5 boards this season, good for 22.1 PR. In four games played against the Cleveland Cavaliers with at least 29 minutes, he averaged 14.5 points and 8.3 boards while racking up two double-doubles and hitting the Over on this line twice.

He finished with just 14 double-doubles across 78 games, but two of them came at Cleveland. The Cavs can be taken advantage of on the glass, and that will be especially true tonight if Defensive Player of the Year Evan Mobley is sidelined.

Expect Turner to take advantage of Cleveland’s banged-up frontcourt and deliver another strong performance. He’s hit the Over in four of six playoff games this season, and he’ll make it five for seven in Game 2.

Cavaliers Ty Jerome Over 14.5 points (-115 at bet365)

Ty Jerome was snubbed for Sixth Man of the Year (sorry, Payton Pritchard!), and he’s taken his frustrations out on opposing defenses during the postseason. In just 24.2 minutes per game, he’s averaging a whopping 17.2 points through five appearances.

Jerome has scored at least 15 points in three of five playoff games after a strong finish to the regular season. He averaged 16.3 points across his final 10 games of the regular season, hitting the Over on this line five times and going for 14 points once more.

Darius Garland has missed three straight games, and his status for tonight is very much in question. Jerome averaged 11.6 points with Garland available compared to 22.2 points in six games with Garland sidelined. In those six games, he scored at least 20 points five times and finished with exactly 14 in the other.

Pacers Tyrese Haliburton double-double (-125 at bet365)

Hali’s slow start to the 2024-25 season seems like a distant nightmare, as he’s soared since the All-Star break and into the postseason. Hali averaged 20.6 points and 11.1 dimes across his final 20 regular season games, producing a double-double in 16 of them.

Tyrese Haliburton has been cooking in the playoffs. He averaged 17.6 points and 11.6 dimes across five games in the first-round series with Milwaukee, and he posted a 22/13 double-double in Game 1 against the Cavs.

Hali finished with a double-double in each of his last two matchups with Cleveland, and I expect him to be on his game tonight with a chance to go up 2-0 on the No. 1 seed heading back home.
