Put simply, this series is sitting there for Pascal Siakam to take over. The New York Knicks are set to be without OG Anunoby again this afternoon after Siakam’s former Toronto Raptors teammate picked up a hamstring injury in Game 2, and that leaves New York short on options for guarding Spicy P.
It’s been a strange postseason for Siakam, who exploded for a combined 73 points in the first two games of the Indiana Pacers’ first-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks but then fell short of the 20-point mark in his next six games before rebounding on Friday with 26 points.
Siakam was an efficient 9-for-14 from the field in Game 3 and, just as important, he didn’t just settle for long jumpers. He got into the paint and ended up with nine free-throw attempts.
That’s the version of Siakam the Pacers need if they’re going to send this series back to Madison Square Garden knotted at 2-2, and I’m picking him to shine against a Knicks defense that’s logged huge minutes in this playoff run.
If anything, Siakam could be more aggressive this afternoon, stealing some touches from Andrew Nembhard, Myles Turner, and T.J. McConnell so that he’s taking 20+ shots.
The Pacers’ slick transition game tends to be a path to easy points for Siakam, and I see the hosts leaning into a faster pace today as long as Haliburton isn’t slowed by back and ankle issues. In a must-win spot, and it’s time for Siakam to deliver another All-Star caliber performance.

Just as Siakam is the key to relieving the burden on Haliburton’s shoulders, Donte DiVincenzo has stepped up in this series as a much-needed sidekick for Jalen Brunson — and that’s a trend I see continuing this afternoon.
DiVincenzo couldn’t get going against the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round but he’s had no trouble torching the Pacers, including a 35-point effort in Game 3. I love the Over on his points prop today — and it’s a number that’s he passed in all three games in this series.
I’m also taking the Under on Brunson’s assists. Indiana has held him to six or fewer dimes in each of the three contests so far, and the Knicks will surely look to ease some of his ball-handling workload to protect his injured foot.
With DiVincenzo, Josh Hart, and Miles McBride all capable of initiating the offense for New York, I see Brunson’s scoring outshining his playmaking again in Game 4.
