Clippers vs Mavericks best bet: James Harden Under 9.5 assists (-115)
The Los Angeles Clippers are just 3-8, but James Harden is having a respectable campaign. He’s averaging 23.4 points, 8.9 assists, and 5.5 rebounds across 10 appearances. I’ll focus on his passing here, where I see tremendous value in the Under.
While “The Beard” can drop dimes at any given moment, his total is set at 9.5 tonight. That’s realistic, but trends point to the Under. Harden has cashed Under 9.5 in three of his last five games, and he’s averaging 8.6 assists so far in November.
Although the Dallas Mavericks are also in shambles, the one area they’ve excelled at times is their ability to limit assists. Dallas is allowing just 24.5 dimes per night, and that ranks fifth in the Association. Also, Harden averaged just 7.3 assists per game against the Mavs last season.
Clippers vs Mavericks same-game parlay
Cooper Flagg has certainly had to take on a bigger playmaking role than many expected in his rookie season. While it’s not a focal point of his game, the first overall pick has shown promise as a facilitator.
He’s averaging 3.3 dimes, and Flagg has cashed the Over in three consecutive appearances. The Duke product had six assists in two of those games, and four in the other. The Clippers are 23rd in the NBA in dimes allowed.
With Anthony Davis questionable to play tonight, that opens up a clear opportunity for Ivica Zubac to dominate down low. He happens to be in good form right now as well, cashing the Over in points in three of his previous four games.
Zubac posted 20+ points in two of those contests, and he played well against Dallas last season, averaging 18.3 points across four meetings.
